This book was created by Monika Strand. The inspiration came from her memories of Christmas as a little girl. Monika's dad loved wearing a Santa Hat around the holidays, and always said it's not my birthday when someone offered him a gift. He was always a giving man of his time, talent and love. He never put a strong emphasis on material Christmas gifts, but rather the gifts of kindness he could offer that would make people smile. A bouquet of flowers from his yard, a repaired toy train for the local library, handmade wind chimes from leftover plumbing pipes he tinkered in his workshop in the backyard. He definitely was one of Santa's greatest elves, and taught Monika the true meaning of Christmas. Monika's wish is for children receiving this book will be inspired to be kind, specially when they put a Santa hat a top their head.
